Pipol's Power Launch in Iligan

Last May 5, 2012, the Pipol's Power Campaign was launched in Iligan, home of the famous Maria Cristina Falls. Moslems and Christians alike unite to campaign against the privatization of the Agus and Pulangui Hydro Power Complex.

A day before the launch, some people from Iligan and Lanao had the chance to see the falls and was awe-struck by its grandeur and beauty. No, they don't want their heritage to fall into private investors' hands. Aside from the fact that this is their heritage, an increase in electricity rate would definitely mean tighter budgets and harder times for them.
